A well-established law firm in Doncaster is looking to appoint a Head of Private Client to lead and develop its established Private Client team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive with experience managing a department or someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.
The Role
As Head of Private Client, you will take responsibility for managing and developing the department while continuing to handle a high quality caseload of Private Client work.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing and developing the Private Client team
*Overseeing the department’s caseload and workflow
*Advising clients on a broad range of Private Client matters
*Managing your own caseload of wills, trusts and probate matters
*Dealing with estate administration and complex probate matters
*Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
*Building strong relationships with existing and new clients
*Identifying opportunities to develop the department and grow the client base
*Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
*Working closely with the wider management team on the strategic development of the department
About You
The firm is looking for an experienced Private Client professional with a strong technical background and the confidence to lead a team.
You will ideally have:
*Significant experience in Private Client work
*Strong knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate administration
*Previous management or leadership experience
*Excellent client care and communication skills
*A commercial approach to developing and growing a department
*The ability to manage your own caseload alongside leadership responsibilities
*A proactive approach to business development and networking
STEP membership or another relevant Private Client qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
