If you would like to know more about this opportunity, get in touch with Sophie Randle at RGB Recruitment ASAP!
Opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Architect to join a small, established multidisciplinary consultancy in East Cornwall.
They are looking for someone experienced and capable who can come in and confidently run projects, working closely alongside the Director. You’ll be involved across the full RIBA stages, from initial design and planning through to technical delivery, construction and completion.
The wider business brings together architecture, structural engineering and surveying expertise, giving you the opportunity to work closely with other construction professionals under one roof. Projects are varied in scale and nature, with the practice experienced across new build, refurbishment and historic buildings throughout the South West.
The role:
*Running projects independently across all RIBA stages
*Producing and coordinating design and technical information
*Managing planning and Building Regulations submissions
*Liaising directly with clients, consultants, contractors and other members of the design team
*Overseeing projects through the construction stages and dealing with site queries
*Working closely with the Director while taking genuine ownership of your own projects
*Coordinating internally with the wider structural engineering and surveying teams
Requirements:
*ARB Registered Architect with solid UK practice experience
*Strong project running experience
*Confident working across both design and technical stages
*Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction
*Able to manage projects, clients and consultants with minimal supervision
*Proficient in Revit is preferred
*Organised, practical and comfortable taking responsibility
*Experience within a smaller practice or multidisciplinary environment would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
This would particularly suit someone who perhaps feels lost within a larger practice and wants more ownership over their projects. You’ll work directly with the Director, have exposure across the full project stages and become an important part of a close knit team rather than being restricted to one stage or area of delivery. The company offers a friendly and flexible working environment.
