Full job descriptionSupport Workers Required for Children’s Home in Westcliff Southend Essex SS0
We have an incredible opportunity to join our Children’s Home located in Westcliff on Sea.
We provide care and support for high dependency children who have complex needs, EBD and display challenging behaviour. We try and make every day extraordinary for the children .
Our home is operational and settled. It was recently rated GOOD by OFSTED.
This Organisation prides itself on fantastic quality of care. We are looking for staff to go above and beyond to meet our high expectations
We are looking for people who are passionate about looking after children.
There will be opportunities for progression.

Support Worker Requirements
Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;
*Able to work Full time
*A full UK driving license
*Level 3 Children and Young People Diploma (Must have)
*Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
*An understanding that this role will require to undertake Enhanced DBS checks
*You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children.
*This will include working shifts and sleep-in
*Experience working and supporting 8-18 year old with EBD & challenging behaviour is a must
Join us as a Residential Support Worker at our home in Westcliff we can offer:
*£13.50 per hour plus £50 sleeps shift pattern normally 2 on 4 off
*37.5 /40 hours per week
*Full induction and introductory programme
*Fully funded training and qualifications
*Enhanced pay scales that recognise both qualifications and experience
*A great employee benefits programme
Successful candidates for Support Worker will:
*Be caring and compassionate
*Bring fun and laughter into the Home
*Be there to support children through the good times and the tough times
*Help children feel good about themselves and encourage them to try new things
*Listen when children want to talk
*Celebrate their achievements
*Support young people towards independent living.
*Assist is developing their self-belief and coping skills.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues and family members in meeting children’s needs.
*Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.
*Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
