A nationally recognised provider of recovery and support services is seeking an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis. The organisation supports individuals affected by drug and alcohol use to make positive, lasting changes, promoting recovery, resilience and social reintegration within local communities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team and play a vital role in supporting people through their treatment and recovery journey.

Your new role
As a Recovery Coordinator, you will act as the main point of contact for a caseload of service users, supporting them from initial assessment through to recovery planning and ongoing reviews. You will coordinate tailored packages of support, work closely with partner agencies and clinicians, and help individuals achieve meaningful and sustainable recovery outcomes.Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing a caseload of service users and acting as their lead care coordinator.
*Completing comprehensive assessments, recovery plans, risk assessments and regular reviews.
*Using motivational interviewing techniques to support service users in achieving their recovery goals.
*Coordinating access to treatment, psychosocial interventions, group programmes and community support services.
*Promoting harm reduction initiatives, including overdose prevention, blood-borne virus awareness and wider health education.
*Working closely with prescribing clinicians, healthcare professionals, housing providers and partner agencies.
*Supporting service users to access peer support networks, recovery communities and mutual aid groups.
*Maintaining accurate records, case notes and outcome data in line with organisational requirements.
*Safeguarding vulnerable adults and contributing to effective risk management processes.
*Encouraging social reintegration, independence and improved wellbeing.


What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
*Experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol services, recovery services, homelessness, mental health or a related support environment.
*A strong understanding of substance misuse issues and their impact on individuals and communities.
*Experience completing assessments, care planning, risk assessments and case management.
*Knowledge of safeguarding principles and best practice when working with vulnerable adults.
*Experience working within a multi-agency environment and building effective partnerships with external stakeholders.
*Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
*Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate case records and reports.
*An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
*Flexibility to work across service locations and operational requirements where needed.
