Full job descriptionTotum Partners are working with a well-regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Finance team, supporting multiple UK offices and working closely with the Senior Legal Cashier and wider Cashiering team.

The firm operates a hybrid working policy of three days in the office and two days from home.
What you’ll be doing:
*Posting client and office receipts
*Processing client and office payments via CHAPS, cheque and file uploads
*Handling client-to-office transfers
*Completing daily bank reconciliations
*Ensuring deposit interest is paid on matters when due
*Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring documentation is correctly filed
*Liaising with colleagues across UK offices, responding to queries and supporting fee earners
*Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures
*Working with multi-currency transactions
*Meeting key deadlines and adhering to agreed timetables
What we’re looking for:
*Experience in a Legal Cashier role is essential
*Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
*Experience processing client and office account transactions
*Ability to work accurately in a busy environment with competing deadlines
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
