An established and expanding organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join in a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, strengthen financial governance, and support continued business growth.

The successful candidate will lead the finance function, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and effective financial management across a diverse and dynamic operation.

The Opportunity

This position combines hands-on financial control with leadership, process improvement, and strategic business partnering. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, helping drive performance, improve efficiencies, and provide the financial insight required to support ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
*Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
*Maintain and enhance financial controls, governance, policies and procedures.
*Manage year-end accounts, external audits and statutory reporting requirements.
*Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory and financial obligations.
*Deliver meaningful financial analysis and commercial insights to senior leadership.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities.
*Manage key external relationships, including auditors, banking partners and advisers.
*Drive process improvements, system enhancements and operational efficiencies.
*Support cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
*Contribute to wider business strategy and organisational growth initiatives.
About You

We are looking for a proactive and influential finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with excellent commercial awareness.

You will likely possess:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
*Significant experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
*Strong financial reporting, controls and compliance expertise.
*Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
*Strong ERP and financial systems knowledge.
*A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge constructively.
*High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
