Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 + Bonus
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Design Manager to join a growing manufacturing business based in Stockport.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced design professional to lead a small team while overseeing a variety of projects from concept through to production. Working closely with customers and internal departments, you will ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and develop a small design team.
*Manage project workloads and priorities.
*Oversee the creation of design concepts and technical drawings.
*Liaise with customers to understand project requirements.
*Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacture.
*Work closely with production teams to support successful project delivery.
*Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the design process.
*Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the growth of the department.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience within a design role, ideally with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
*Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong technical and design capabilities.
*The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
*Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
*A proactive and organised approach to work.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
