Our client is an organisation with offices based in Hull and Essex, operating within the logistics industry. The role has come about due to growth within the company, and exciting opportunities within the procurement function. They are looking for an Interim Procurement Manager to set up their procurement function, whilst they hire on a permanent basis.
Description
As Interim Procurement Manager, duties will include:
*Setting up a brand new procurement function
*Manage procurement activities to ensure cost-effective supply of goods and services.
*Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance and value for money.
*Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
*Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements and align strategies.
*Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or risks promptly.
*Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
*Prepare and present procurement reports to stakeholders as needed.
*Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
Profile
A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:
*Proven experience in procurement including strong people and process management skills.
*Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
*Knowledge of procurement policies and regulations.
*Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
*Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management tools.
Job Offer
*Daily rate of £500 to £600 inside IR35, dependent on the level of experience.
*Temporary contract offering flexibility.
*Hybrid working, based out of either the Hull or Essex office.
