Full job descriptionMulti-skilled Maintenance Technician - ERDC £29.94 per hour | 5 days on-site | 12 months | Inside IR35
We’re looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading Engine Research & Development Centre, working within a state-of-the-art engine test facility.
This is a great opportunity to work on advanced testbed and facility equipment, supporting engine development in a highly technical engineering environment.
What you’ll be doing*Reactive, planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
*Fault finding, repairs and installation of facility equipment
*Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*Reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings
*Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects
*Root cause analysis and technical problem solving
*Working alongside engineers, technicians and external contractors
*Supporting and mentoring apprentices and colleagues
What we’re looking for*Engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
*Strong hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
*Confident fault-finding and diagnostics skills
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
*Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems or pipe fitting would be highly desirable
*Experience with laser alignment of rotating equipment is a bonus
The opportunity£29.94 per hour | Inside IR35
12-month contract with strong potential to extend
5 days on-site
