Full job descriptionAre you an experienced practice accountant looking for a role where you can take ownership of a varied portfolio and work closely with clients?
We’re working with an established accountancy practice in Colchester that is looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team. Ideally, you’ll be qualified or QBE with at least 5 years’ experience within practice, although study support could be available for the right person.


ResponsibilitiesAs an Accounts Senior, you will:
*Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, working to FRS 102A and FRS 105.
*Draft associated tax computations and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
*Provide bookkeeping services and support clients with any bookkeeping queries.
*Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing advice and assistance across a range of accounting queries.
*Work with clients across their accounting systems, helping to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.
RequirementsAs an Accounts Senior, you will have:
*At least 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
*Qualified, part-qualified or QBE status with strong accounts preparation experience.
*Strong Xero experience
BenefitsAs an Accounts Senior, you will receive:
*£35,000 - £40,000 salary, depending on experience.
*Study support available for the right candidate.
*A 35-hour working week.
*22 days’ annual leave + bank holidays.
