A well-established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to join their Manchester team. The role would suit an experienced Graduate or Geotechnical Engineer looking to develop their career across a varied range of ground engineering projects.
The Role:
*Undertake geotechnical assessments and interpret ground investigation data.
*Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
*Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity and settlement assessments.
*Assist with foundation, retaining wall and earthworks design.
*Review ground investigation information and develop ground models.
*Support site investigations and liaise with contractors and clients.
*Work alongside engineers across wider civil and infrastructure projects.
The Candidate:
*Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
*Previous experience within a geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment.
*Good understanding of geotechnical principles and UK ground conditions.
*Experience with geotechnical calculations and design software would be beneficial.
*Strong report-writing and communication skills.
*Working towards or interested in achieving Chartered status.
