Full job descriptionNational Inventory Manager
Manchester (Hybrid) | £55,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits
Elevation Recruitment Group’s Procurement & Supply Chain division is proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established, multi-site business to appoint a National Inventory Manager. This is a business-critical role for an organisation operating across multiple sites and sub-contractor locations nationally, and it comes with genuine influence over how stock is planned, controlled, and reported from the ground up.
The Role
As National Inventory Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of the stock universe — raw materials, finished goods, and MRO/maintenance inventory — across a national, multi-site operation. You’ll act as the central authority on all things stock, working closely with Sales, Operations, Construction, and Finance to keep supply aligned with demand.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading demand forecasting and order planning with cross-functional stakeholders to set realistic order volumes and lead times
*Setting and continuously optimising re-order points and stock levels to balance cost efficiency with service levels
*Designing and maintaining ERP-driven stock control processes and KPI dashboards for full inventory visibility
*Owning inventory costs and working capital, advising senior management on cost reduction opportunities
*Managing vendor and vendor-managed stock arrangements to minimise obsolescence risk
*Auditing site performance and stock controls, and owning the annual stock take process
*Building and leading a high-performing inventory team
What We’re Looking For
*Proven inventory management experience within a multi-site or matrix organisation — this is essential
*Strong hands-on experience with ERP/SAP/MRP inventory modules
*A solid grounding in supply chain and inventory best practice, with the analytical ability to interpret complex data and make decisions amid ambiguity
*Experience setting KPIs to reduce lead time to market
*A confident communicator, comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
*Willingness to travel frequently across sites
What’s on Offer
*£55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
*Hybrid working
*Excellent benefits package
