Our client is a growing communications business is looking for a Payroll Assistant to support its busy payroll function.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys accuracy, organisation, and working in a fast-moving operational environment.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
*Payroll processing - Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring data is accurate and deadlines are met.
*Data entry - Inputting timesheets, new starters, leavers, and pay changes with precision.
*Compliance checks - Supporting statutory tasks including HMRC submissions, holiday pay calculations, and pension administration.
*Employee support - Responding to payroll queries and providing clear, helpful guidance.
What You’ll Bring
*Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Confidence working with numbers and handling sensitive data.
*Experience in payroll or finance administration (or a desire to build a career in payroll).
*Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
*Desirable: Experience with iTrent, CIS payments, or other payroll systems.
