A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Senior Manager to lead the delivery of complex compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio.
Bristol’s commercial market continues to grow in scale and sophistication, and the firm’s tax practice is well positioned within it. The role carries real strategic influence, with a structured pathway to partnership and the client base to make that a near term prospect. Crowe Watson Recruitment handles senior appointments of this nature with discretion.
What’s the day to day of the role:
*Leading corporate tax compliance and advisory delivery across a complex client portfolio
*Advising on corporation tax, group structures, M&A, reorganisations and strategic tax planning
*Overseeing the review of returns and computations prepared by managers and junior staff
*Driving business development through proposals, networking and growing the practice
*Building senior client relationships and acting as trusted adviser to key stakeholders
*Leading and developing the managers and junior members of the tax team
*Contributing to the strategic direction of the tax department alongside senior leadership
Required skills and qualifications:
*CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong corporate tax background gained in practice
*At least seven years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
*Track record at manager or senior manager level on complex corporate tax advisory work
*Deep technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation
*Confidence to engage at board and partner level, with proven experience developing teams
*Commercially driven, with a strategic approach to business development
