Job Title: Mandarin Speaking Associate Customer Service
The Skills You’ll Need: Mandarin to a native level, customer service/sales/marketing experience, with banking or retail banking experience preferred.

Office based
Contract: 12 months fixed term (Maternity Cover)
Start: ASAP
Working hours: 35 hours per week
About the role:
The Banking department’s main responsibility is to deliver excellent customer service, as well as market and promote products and services that the Bank offers to its customers, whilst adhering to Head Office and regulatory requirements. You will play an important role in supporting business growth across both existing and new client portfolios. You will provide prompt and efficient customer service while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department.


Mandarin Speaking Associate Customer Service - What You’ll be Doing:
*Participate in marketing activities to achieve business development objectives
*Act as the primary point of contact for customers and maintain strong customer relationships
*Process account opening applications
*Handle cash and other related duties as a cashier at the closed counter
*Carry out the client onboarding process and conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) checks, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on new clients
*Request and obtain Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) information from customers where appropriate
*Ensure all operational activities comply with the Bank’s internal guidelines, regulatory policies and procedures
*Assist with the preparation of business, statistical, AML, internal audit and compliance reports
*Provide cover for other team members when required
*Undertake other relevant duties as required by the department


Mandarin Speaking Associate Customer Service - The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed:
*Degree educated in Finance, Economics or another relevant subject
*Experience in customer service, sales or marketing would be advantageous
*Previous banking experience, particularly exposure to Retail Banking, is preferred
*Knowledge of banking operations
*Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements and industry practices relating to financial crime, including fraud, sanctions and other related areas
*Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong team player with the ability to work independently
*Good problem-solving skills
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a regulated environment
