Are you an enthusiastic Music Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people through performance, composition, and creativity?
Are you looking for your next opportunity in Milton Keynes within a school that values the arts and encourages students to explore their musical talents?
We are currently working with a number of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Milton Keynes, who are looking to appoint talented and committed Music Teachers to join their teams ASAP or from October half term 2026.
These full-time opportunities are available on either a long-term or permanent basis, offering an exciting chance to join a supportive school community and make a lasting contribution to students’ musical development.
The RoleAs a Music Teacher, you will:
*Deliver engaging and well-planned Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available in some schools
*Teach a varied curriculum covering performance, composition, musical theory, listening, and analysis
*Encourage students to explore different musical styles, genres, and traditions
*Use music technology and digital resources to enhance creativity and learning
*Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level Music, where applicable
*Encourage participation in choirs, bands, ensembles, concerts, productions, and extracurricular clubs
*Support students in developing their confidence, creativity, technical ability, and musical understanding
*Contribute to school performances, concerts, and wider arts events
*Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves
Who We’re Looking ForWe’re keen to hear from Music Teachers who:
*Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Have strong subject knowledge across Music and a genuine passion for the subject
*Are confident teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of Music
*Can inspire students through engaging, creative, and practical lessons
*Have experience or an interest in using music technology and digital software
*Possess strong classroom management skills and maintain high expectations
*Are enthusiastic about contributing to extracurricular music and performing arts activities
*Work well as part of a collaborative department
*Are committed to supporting students of all abilities and backgrounds
ECTs are encouraged to apply, with supportive schools offering mentoring and professional development.
