Full job descriptionIf you’re an experienced Finance Assistant who’s comfortable with reconciliations, Accounts Payable and month-end, this could be a good fit.


This business isn’t looking for someone at the start of their finance career. They need somebody who’s already spent time working in a busy finance team, has a solid understanding of the basics and is confident getting on with their workload without needing much supervision.


What will you be doing?


*Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
*Accounts Payable and processing invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Preparing payment runs
*Producing payroll schedules
*Managing intercompany recharges
*Credit control and following up outstanding payments
*Accruals and prepayments
*Supporting month-end processes
*Investigating and resolving discrepancies
*Producing internal finance reports


Accuracy is a big part of the role. You’ll need to be someone who notices when something doesn’t quite add up, is happy digging into the detail to find out why and can get it sorted.


What are they looking for?


*Good reconciliation experience
*Solid Accounts Payable knowledge
*Experience supporting month-end
*Confidence using Excel
*Experience working with accounting software
*The ability to deal confidently with suppliers and customers
*Experience chasing overdue payments and handling the occasional tricky conversation
*Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise when there’s a lot going on
