Full job description Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Belfast who are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder with a strong background in Deep Sea Import Operations & Customs Clearance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, collaborative team where you’ll take ownership of international shipments from origin through to final delivery, working closely with customers, shipping lines, customs authorities and transport providers.

Responsibilities
*Managing end-to-end Deep-Sea Import shipments.
*Coordinating bookings with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and other key stakeholders.
*Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
*Handling customs clearance processes and ensuring full compliance with regulations.
*Preparing and processing import documentation including Bills of Lading and customs entries.
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
*Resolving shipment, customs and transport-related issues efficiently.
*Providing proactive updates and exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Criteria
*Previous experience within Freight Forwarding
*Strong knowledge of Deep-Sea Freight / Import Operations
*Experience with customs procedures and customs clearance documentation
*Excellent understanding of shipping and import documentation
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
