Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent night shift.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist with strong CNC turning, setting and operating experience, looking for a long-term position with an established manufacturer.
Salary: £44,000 per annumShift: Permanent Nights – Sunday to ThursdayLocation: Rotherham
The RoleAs a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality, precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Setting and operating CNC lathes

*Producing precision components to engineering drawings

*Selecting and changing cutting tools and tooling

*Setting machine offsets and making adjustments where required

*Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks

*Working to tight tolerances and production deadlines

*Identifying and resolving basic machining issues

*Ensuring components meet required quality standards

*Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The CandidateThe successful CNC Turner will ideally have:
*Previous experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist

*Strong CNC turning setting and operating experience

*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

*Experience working to tight engineering tolerances

*Good knowledge of cutting tools, tooling and offsets

*Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

*Ability to work independently on a permanent night shift
