A leading Further Education provider is seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Head of Department to support the leadership of its Supported Learning provision.
This role will play a key part in ensuring learners with SEND and additional support needs receive an outstanding educational experience and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead Learning Support Mentors and support teams
*Support the delivery of high-quality SEND and Additional Learning Support provision
*Monitor learner progress and EHCP outcomes
*Drive quality improvement activities and support curriculum teams
*Work closely with Local Authorities and external stakeholders
*Ensure effective use of support resources and staffing
*Promote inclusive practice across the department
Essential Requirements
*Previous leadership experience within Further Education
*Significant SEND / High Needs / Additional Learning Support experience
*Strong knowledge of EHCP processes
*Experience managing teams
*Ability to drive improvements in learner outcomes and quality standards
*Teaching qualification and relevant educational background desirable
