Full job descriptionMorgan McKinley is partnering with a global business with an excellent reputation to recruit a Finance Manager - Group Stock & Margin.




The Role




This is a key role in a high performing team, requiring you to lead the transformation and improvement of stock and margin accounting.




Key responsibilities will include:


*Support and mentor one direct report
*Maintain financial control and accurate valuation of global stock
*Financial control of margin movements, including materials price and usage variances, labour variances, overhead absorption and stock revaluation
*Responsible for the control and reporting of global gross margin, including profit in stock
*Support the development of the Group inventory policy
*Deliver monthly reporting explaining gross margin relative to budget, forecast and prior year
*Work with other Finance team members to set budgets and forecasts
*Drive continuous improvement in how stakeholders control the movement of high value stock
The PersonThe successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of working in Retail or Manufacturing. Stock and Margin accounting experience, and solid costings knowledge are key requirements for the role, and you will need a demonstrable track record of delivering improvements and of working collaboratively with key stakeholders.Hybrid working is on offer, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days p/w.
