Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety Manager to lead building and fire safety across a portfolio of residential properties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Lead building and fire safety compliance across relevant residential buildings
*Manage fire risk assessments and ensure remedial actions are completed and evidenced
*Oversee fire door inspection, repair and replacement programmes
*Maintain building safety information, Building Safety Case Reports and the golden thread
*Manage specialist contractors and consultants, including performance and quality
*Monitor compliance, overdue actions and emerging risks
*Support audits, regulatory engagement and incident investigations
*Work with residents, Fire & Rescue Services and internal teams to address safety concerns
Essential Requirements:
*Strong building and fire safety experience within social housing, residential or another regulated environment
*Experience managing fire risk assessments, remedial programmes and fire door works
*Good knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
*Experience managing specialist contractors and challenging poor performance
*Strong compliance, audit and action-tracking experience
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Relevant fire/building safety, construction, surveying, engineering or health & safety qualification
*Recognised fire safety qualification such as Diploma in Fire Safety / Fire Safety Management or equivalent
*NEBOSH or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
