An established and growing business is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build upon their accounts experience within a supportive environment that offers genuine opportunities for development.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a collaborative finance function, you’ll provide support across a range of credit and accounts receivable activities, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently, building strong relationships along the way with internal teams, primarily sales and external suppliers and customers, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing and allocating customer payments
*Posting cash receipts and account adjustments
*Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
*Producing regular reports on customer accounts
*Managing finance-related correspondence and shared inboxes
*Maintaining accurate records and account information
*Supporting accounts receivable and ledger activities
*Responding to customer and internal queries
*Providing administrative support to the wider finance team
*Assisting with ad hoc finance duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience within a finance, accounts, sales ledger, credit control or finance administration role
*Excel (V Lookups / Pivot tables)
*Good communication and relationship-building abilities
*Supportive team member with the added ability to work effectively independently
