Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:15am to 8:15am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Start Date: November / December 2026 or sooner
The Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to join a local school transport team on a part-time, term-time-only basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of pupils between home and school, as well as to educational visits, sporting fixtures, activities and other school events. You will also provide cover for other driver routes as required.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and takes pride in delivering a safe, dependable transport service.
Key Responsibilities
*Safely transport pupils to and from school each day
*Drive pupils to educational visits, sporting fixtures, activities and events
*Provide route cover for colleagues when required
*Complete vehicle checks and ensure compliance with safety requirements
*Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times
*Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff
*Respond appropriately and calmly to any incidents or emergencies
Skills & Experience
*Previous driving experience, ideally within an educational environment
*Full, clean UK driving licence including Category D1 (Minibus)
*Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations
*Good judgement and the ability to use initiative
*Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider transport team
*Must be able to take annual leave during school closure periods

You will be a friendly and approachable individual with an even temperament and a strong commitment to pupil safety and wellbeing. You will communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues and demonstrate professionalism, discretion and reliability at all times.
