Design Technology Teacher
Hays Education is working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in November 2026.This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing school with a strong reputation for academic excellence, excellent leadership, and a positive learning environment. The school benefits from good student behaviour, supportive colleagues, and well-equipped DT facilities, making it an ideal setting for both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their creativity, practical skills, and subject knowledge.
*Teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
*Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
*Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
*Contributing to the wider life of the department and school
*Full-time maternity cover from November 2026
What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting
*Strong classroom management skills
*Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
*Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
