The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers across the South East while representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
Your duties will include:
*Operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and in accordance with all road transport legislation.
*Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects promptly.
*Delivering goods accurately and on time to customer locations.
*Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
*Completing delivery documentation and proof of delivery records accurately.
*Maintaining compliance with Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
*Providing excellent customer service during all deliveries and collections.
*Assisting with loading and unloading where required.
*Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and professionalism.
Essential
*Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
*Driver CPC Qualification Card.
*Digital Tachograph Card.
*Good understanding of transport legislation and driver compliance.
*Strong communication and customer service skills.
*A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
*The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable
*Previous multidrop delivery experience.
*Experience within logistics, distribution, or transport environments.
*Forklift or ADR qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
