We are inviting applications for the position of RE Teacher at our dynamic all-through academy located in the Ilford area. This role welcomes both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. Our academy, which includes over 3000 students aged 11 to 18, provides a supportive environment conducive to professional growth.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Develop and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons aligned with the curriculum to secondary school students.
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes understanding and respect for various religious and cultural perspectives.
*Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual student needs.
*Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
*Participate actively in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development and resource improvement.
*Engage with the school community through extracurricular activities and special events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a closely related field.
*Experience in teaching RE at the secondary level is preferred but not mandatory.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*A commitment to ongoing professional development and educational research.
*Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
