Are you an experienced Manual Turner looking for a long-term role where your engineering skills really matter?
We’re working with an established engineering business in East Sussex that is looking for a skilled Manual Turner to join its machine shop. You’ll be producing small, high-precision metal components, working to tight tolerances and taking pride in getting things right first time.

What you’ll be doing
*Operating manual lathes and mills
*Machining small metal components to exact specifications
*Reading and working from engineering drawings
*Working to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes
*Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and bore micrometers
*Carrying out basic inspection of completed components
*Completing relevant production documentation
*Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety

What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally be a time-served Manual Turner with solid hands-on experience using manual lathes and mills.
You’ll need:
*Proven experience in manual turning and milling
*Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings
*Experience working to high tolerances
*Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment
*Excellent attention to detail
*A strong focus on quality and safe working practices
*The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
*Previous experience working within a machine shop environment would be advantageous.
