*Location: Seaham, UK
*Job Type: Full-time, Site-based
*Salary: £35,000
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage relationships with design houses to develop best practices, improve the printing process, and ensure high quality of reprographics.
*Coordinate packaging redesign projects for current SKUs and manage new film changeovers on site.
*Support the NPD process by managing timelines for packaging printing and introduction on site and providing trials and transit support.
*Address day-to-day packaging issues in collaboration with the QA and operations teams.
*Develop a deeper understanding of our packaging products to enhance operational line efficiency and product efficacy.
*Ensure all packaging is fit for purpose and compliant with technical and legal requirements, with specifications developed and held electronically for easy access.
*Lead packaging cost-saving and rationalisation projects.
*Build and maintain supplier relationships to stay informed about industry trends and innovations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Degree in Food Manufacturing or a related field, with a specific qualification in Packaging.
*Significant experience in NPD Packaging.
*Proven ability to manage complex projects and timelines effectively.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address quality, cost, and legal issues in packaging development.
*Excellent interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships.
*Fluent in English; additional language skills are beneficial but not required.
Working Conditions:
*Frequent travel to Seaham/London.
*Primarily based in a manufacturing environment.
*Regular use of visual display units (VDUs).
*The role is challenging and requires the ability to work effectively under pressure.
