Full job descriptionWe are seeking a commercially minded, qualified Management Accountant on an interim basis to support the finance function of a fast-paced media business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and providing financial reporting & analysis across media operations.
Offering a competitive day rate and a hybrid working pattern based in Central London, this role requires an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting
*Deliver budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
*Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
*Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
*Support month-end and year-end close processes
*Partner with sales, content and commercial teams
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
*Support month-end, audits and financial controls
*Provide meaningful financial insight and support strategic decision making
*Assist with audits and statutory reporting requirements
Requirements
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified (preferred)
*Strong management accounting and business partnering experience
*Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
*Experience within media, publishing, digital, marketing or creative sectors (preferred)
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
