Full job descriptionCollins Property Recruitment is working with an established independent property business seeking an experienced Head of Client Accounts.
This is a senior role working closely with Directors, the CFO and Heads of Department, with responsibility for both team leadership and continuous improvement across the function.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the Client Accounts team and oversee day-to-day client money operations.
*Manage reconciliations, payments, invoicing, commissions and month-end reporting.
*Own client money controls, compliance, audit processes and financial governance.
*Oversee client and business account banking, payments and payroll.
*Act as the key contact for auditors, SafeAgent and client money assurance reviews.
*Ensure accuracy across Reapit, Xero, 360 and other financial systems.
*Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls, reporting and automation.
*Provide financial guidance and act as the senior escalation point for complex matters.
*Coach and develop the Client Accounts team.
About You:
*Significant experience in residential property accounting, client accounting or a similar environment.
*Minimum 2 years’ experience using Reapit.
*Strong knowledge of client money, reconciliations, financial controls and compliance.
*Previous experience managing or supervising a finance/client accounts team.
*Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
*ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification is desirable.
*Experience with Client Money Protection, SafeAgent, audits or financial systems improvements would be advantageous.
