Interim Operational Procurement Manager Hertfordshire (Hybrid) | Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract until January 2027 | Immediate Start


We’re recruiting for an experienced Operational Procurement Manager to join a major UK infrastructure organisation on an interim basis. You’ll lead operational procurement activities, drive compliance with supplier frameworks, improve purchasing performance, and help establish a centralised buying desk model across the business.
Key responsibilities:
*Lead day-to-day operational procurement activities.
*Drive cost avoidance and procurement best practice.
*Manage supplier performance and preferred supplier compliance.
*Develop and improve procurement processes and SOPs.
*Analyse procurement data to support decision-making.
*Support supplier on-boarding, invoice resolution, and governance controls.
Requirements:
*Proven operational procurement experience in a complex environment.
*Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
*Experience with procurement systems, reporting, and process improvement.
*MCIPS/CIPS or infrastructure/utilities experience would be advantageous.
