Are you experienced in operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery and looking for your next opportunity?

We’re currently looking for an Automatic Crosscut Saw Operator to join a busy timber operation in Corby. You’ll be working with a Hundegger automatic crosscut saw, producing accurately cut timber components to meet production requirements.

What will you be doing?*Setting up and operating the automatic crosscut saw
*Entering cutting lists and ensuring the machine is correctly programmed
*Inspecting timber for defects and making the best use of each piece to minimise waste
*Measuring and checking finished timber for accuracy and quality
*Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and blade changes
*Working safely and following all site health and safety procedures
What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll have:

*Previous experience operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery
*A good understanding of timber, including common defects
*Strong measuring skills and excellent attention to detail
*A reliable, practical approach to work
*A good attitude towards health and safety
*A valid forklift licence
What’s on offer?*£14+ per hour, depending on experience
*Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
*Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent

*Full training provided on site
