Leicester | Ongoing Temporary Assignment
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a well-established legal practice based in Leicester on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous legal finance experience who is confident working within a busy legal accounts environment and has a strong understanding of relevant accounts regulations.
Key Responsibilities*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client and office account ledgers
*Processing banking transactions and raising cheques
*Generating invoices and managing billing activities
*Opening, maintaining, and closing ledger accounts while ensuring accurate data entry
*Reconciling client, deposit bank, and building society accounts
*Ensuring compliance with CLC Accounts Rules, audit requirements, and other relevant regulations
*Liaising with Property Lawyers regarding ledger balances and account queries
*Managing credit control processes and monitoring aged debt
*Processing supplier invoices and direct debit payments
*Assisting with the preparation of management information, budgets, financial reports, and forecasts
*Supporting the wider finance function with additional duties as required
Candidate Requirements*Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
*Strong knowledge of legal accounting procedures and compliance requirements
*Experience of client and office account reconciliations
*Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with legal professionals
*Proficient IT skills and experience using legal accounts software
*Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
