We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Hartlepool. This role is responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, optimising vehicle routes, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and schedule daily deliveries and collections.
*Optimise routes to maximise fleet utilisation and reduce costs.
*Monitor transport KPIs and service performance.
*Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules.
*Resolve transport issues and implement effective solutions.
*Ensure compliance with driver hours regulations, transport legislation, and company policies.
*Produce transport reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
*Previous experience within a Transport Planner, Logistics Planner, or Transport Coordinator role.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Experience using transport management systems (TMS).
*Knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance regulations.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
