Full job descriptionYear 6 Teacher Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January 2027?
We are recruiting for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Gillingham on a full-time contract.
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a Year 6 class and play an important part in supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
The RoleThe successful teacher will have full responsibility for their class, including:
*Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum

*Managing the classroom and maintaining high expectations

*Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

*Differentiating learning to meet individual needs

*Completing planning, marking and assessment responsibilities

*Supporting pupils with their academic and personal development

*Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team

What We’re Looking For*QTS is required

*Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 6

*Strong classroom management and organisational skills

*Confidence with independent planning and assessment

*A positive and committed approach to teaching

*Ability to take full responsibility for a class
