Full job descriptionYear 5 Teacher We are currently recruiting for a confident and committed Year 5 Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave at a welcoming primary school in Rochester.
This is a fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week, and would suit a teacher who is confident taking full ownership of their class and delivering high-quality teaching.
The RoleThe successful Year 5 Teacher will have full responsibility for their class, including:
*Planning and preparing lessons across the curriculum

*Delivering engaging and effective teaching

*Managing the classroom and maintaining high expectations

*Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

*Differentiating work to meet individual needs

*Completing relevant planning, assessment and marking

*Working closely with school staff to ensure consistency throughout the maternity cover period

*Taking full day-to-day responsibility for the Year 5 class

Requirements*QTS is required

*Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 5/KS2

*Confident with independent planning and classroom management

*Strong organisational and communication skills

*Able to commit to 3 days per week

*Driver preferred due to the school’s location

*Willing to commit to the duration of the fixed-term maternity cover
