Bexley | Full-Time | One-Year Contract
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in the Bexley area from January 2027. This full-time maternity cover position is expected to run for the entire academic year and would suit a teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality Drama lessons and fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression in young people.
The successful candidate will join a supportive school community with a strong commitment to student achievement and a genuine appreciation for the value of the performing arts within the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
*Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4
*Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons
*Assess, monitor, and support student progress
*Contribute to the wider life of the department, including performances and extracurricular activities
*Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
The Successful Candidate Will:
*Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Have experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting
*Be an inspiring classroom practitioner with excellent communication skills
*Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational abilities
*Be committed to helping students achieve their full potential
