Are you an organised and proactive Legal Secretary or Personal Assistant looking to join a friendly, supportive, and growing law firm?
My client is a well-established independent firm based in Worcester, offering a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit team. Working closely with a highly experienced Senior Associate, you will provide essential support across a varied caseload of both private and public family law matters, with occasional involvement in criminal law cases.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong client relationships, and being involved in the day-to-day running of a busy legal office.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Managing new client matters, including conflict checks and case file opening.
*Maintaining and updating the firm’s Case Management System.
*Ensuring files remain compliant with Lexcel and Legal Aid requirements.
*Coordinating and managing busy diaries and appointments.
*Accessing and processing documents via Court and Legal Aid portals (full training provided).
*Managing dictated correspondence and ensuring accurate filing and document management.
*Monitoring Legal Aid Agency communications and liaising with fee earners regarding responses.
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients and external professionals, both over the phone and in person.
*Supporting reception duties during holiday and lunchtime cover.
*Welcoming visitors and clients, arranging meeting rooms, and ensuring a professional client experience.
*Providing occasional cover for the Department Head’s PA, gaining exposure to the wider operational side of the business.
*Attending court alongside fee earners on occasion, offering valuable insight into legal proceedings.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience within a Legal Secretary, Legal PA, or Administrative role.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Strong communication skills with a professional and personable approach.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
*A team player who is happy to support colleagues when required.
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference, develop your legal support career, and work within a welcoming and professional environment, we’d love to hear from you.
