We are recruiting for a Technical Accountant to join the finance team of a leading Liverpool-based organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The role will have a strong focus on year-end accounting, audit preparation and technical accounting support, making it ideal for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities:
*Supporting the year-end accounts process
*Preparing information and schedules for external audit
*Assisting with audit queries and providing supporting documentation
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules
*Supporting technical accounting requirements and financial reporting
*Assisting with month-end and year-end journals
*Working closely with the wider Finance team to ensure deadlines are met
*Identifying and resolving accounting issues
We are looking for:
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong technical accounting knowledge
*Previous year-end and audit experience
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
*Able to work independently and liaise confidently with auditors and senior finance colleagues
*Available to commit to a 6-month contract
