Overview

A leading company on the outskirts of Crawley is seeking an experienced Depot Foreman to oversee day-to-day engineering operations at their depot.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of engineers and labourers, ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, health and safety requirements are met, and the depot operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical engineering / hire background, proven leadership experience and a hands-on approach.

Role Summary
*Supervise and support engineers and depot staff
*Ensure health & safety compliance and promote safe working practices
*Oversee the preparation, maintenance and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment
*Manage stock levels and ensure equipment is ready for use
*Attend site surveys, installations and call-outs when required
*Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records
*Lead performance reviews and support staff training and development
*Help ensure the depot operates efficiently and to a high standard
Requirements
*Previous experience in a foreman, supervisor or team leader role
*Background in mechanical or electrical engineering/maintenance
*Experience working with industrial, plant, machinery or technical equipment
*Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
*Good understanding of health & safety and compliance
*Full UK driving licence
