We’re partnered with an established precision engineering business producing high-quality machined components for a range of industrial sectors.
The business operates a modern CNC machining facility, working across sliding-head and fixed-head machinery and producing complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances.
Due to continued demand, they’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join their production team.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC turning machinery, producing precision components accurately and efficiently within a low-to-medium volume environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Setting and operating CNC turning machines
*Programming using FANUC controls
*Working with Star and Miyano machines
*Working across sliding-head and fixed-head turning
*Selecting tooling, workholding and cutting parameters
*Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*Producing components to tight and micron-level tolerances
*Carrying out in-process inspection and dimensional checks
*Identifying and resolving basic machining issues
*Working closely with the production team to meet delivery requirements
*Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience as a CNC Turner
*Strong CNC turning and machine-setting experience
*FANUC programming experience
*Star or Miyano machine experience – essential
*Sliding-head or fixed-head turning experience
*Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
*Experience machining to tight tolerances
*Good understanding of tooling and cutting conditions
*Twin-spindle experience advantageous
*Strong attention to detail and quality
*Reliable, professional and team focused
