Are you an Early Years specialist looking for a stable long-term role in a supportive environment? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a friendly 2-form entry primary school in Leyland / Chorley. This position is to start in September on an ongoing basis.
The Role Working within a collaborative Reception team, you will play a vital role in supporting the transition and development of the school’s youngest learners. Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
*Leading small group activities focusing on Phonics (Read Write Inc. or similar), early literacy, and numeracy.
*Observations and contributing to student profiles/assessments.
*Providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment through indoor and outdoor play.
*Supporting pupils with diverse needs, ensuring every child thrives.
The School This Leyland / Chorley-based primary school is known for its welcoming "family" feel and its commitment to staff wellbeing. As a 2-form entry school, you will benefit from working alongside another Reception TA and teacher, allowing for shared planning and support.
Requirements
*Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
*Proven experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting.
*A deep understanding of the EYFS framework.
*A patient, creative, and energetic approach to learning.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
*Legal right to work in the UK.
