Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming primary school in the BL4 area of Bolton who are seeking a calm, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to pupils who may experience behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and helping them develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards school.
The role will involve:
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support
*Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation
*Helping children remain focused and engaged
*Encouraging positive choices and behaviour
*Supporting pupils during classroom activities
*Working alongside teachers and support staff
*Helping children develop social and emotional skills
*Reinforcing classroom routines and expectations
*Supporting learning and inclusion across the school
The successful candidate will:
*Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare, Youth Work or similar qualification OR
*Have at least 6 months’ experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
*Be calm, patient and consistent
*Have experience or a strong interest in behaviour support
*Be able to build trusting relationships with children
*Have excellent communication skills
*Be committed to safeguarding
