A welcoming primary school in Cheltenham is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. You’ll support pupils across Foundation Stage, KS1, and KS2, helping them manage emotions, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning.
Role Overview:
*Behaviour Support Assistant- Cheltenham
*Mainstream Primary School
*ASAP Start
*£90- £105 per day, dependent on experience
*Full-time, term-time only
*8:30am-3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and SEND needs.
*Help children develop emotional regulation and positive learning behaviours.
*Implement individualised behaviour support strategies.
*Support with de-escalation and challenging behaviour.
*Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents.
*Promote pupils’ wellbeing, safety, and emotional development.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant who is patient, empathetic, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs or SEND is desirable, but a genuine passion for supporting children is equally important.
