Looking for your next hands on opportunity with long term career prospects? Pertemps is recruiting a Maintenance Operative to join a well established manufacturing business in Tewkesbury. This is a 12 week temp to perm opportunity offering the chance to work alongside an experienced Engineer, develop valuable maintenance skills, and secure a long term career within a stable manufacturing environment.

Shift Details

Option 1:Day Shift
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 16:00

Option 2: Alternating Weekly Shift
Week 1Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 14:30
Week 2Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:30 20% Shift Premium Paid after 14:00pm

Key Responsibilities
*Supporting the Site Engineer with maintenance and repair tasks
*Assisting with machinery, equipment and facility maintenance
*Carrying out basic mechanical repairs and upkeep
*Supporting preventative maintenance schedules
*Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
*Assisting with installation and assembly work as required
*Moving materials and equipment around site
*Reporting faults, breakdowns and health & safety concerns
*Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
*Supporting the wider team with general maintenance duties
What We’re Looking For
*Previous maintenance, engineering or mechanical experience preferred
*Handyman, workshop or fitting experience considered
*Comfortable using hand and power tools
*Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills
*Electrical awareness would be advantageous
*Counterbalance Forklift Licence preferred
*lReliable, punctual and hardworking
*Positive attitude and willingness to learn
*Strong attention to health and safety
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
