The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Senior to join a well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Chelmsford.
This role is ideal for an ambitious tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, providing high-quality compliance services and assisting with advisory work while building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
*Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns.
*Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
*Assisting clients with tax planning and advisory matters.
*Advising clients on tax compliance and legislative changes.
*Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
*Managing deadlines to ensure timely submission of returns.
*Supporting managers and partners on complex tax projects.
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
*Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior tax team members.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice tax role.
*ATT qualified, CTA studying, CTA qualified, or qualified by experience.
*Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate taxation.
*Experience managing a client portfolio.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
*A proactive and commercial approach to client service.
*Experience with tax software and cloud-based systems would be advantageous.
