£32,000-£42,000 | Newcastle-under-Lyme

We’re recruiting for a friendly firm of chartered accountants in Newcastle-under-Lyme, offering varied client work, responsibility and support from experienced team leaders and directors.
Whether you’re working towards ACA or ACCA, already qualified or qualified by experience, there’s scope to put your skills to use and keep building on them.
A role you can make your own
You’ll work with owner-managed businesses, sole traders and SMEs across a range of industries. You’ll get to know the people behind the numbers, take ownership of assignments and help junior colleagues find their feet.
Your work will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
*Producing management accounts
*Preparing corporation tax computations, with support from the tax team
*Taking jobs from planning through to completion
*Supporting trainees and reviewing junior colleague’s work
*Building client relationships and resolving queries proactively

What you’ll bring
You’ll have at least three year’s accountancy practice experience, confidence preparing accounts and a good understanding of accounting and tax.
AAT, ACA and ACCA qualified candidates are welcome, alongside those still studying or qualified by experience. Familiarity with Xero, Sage or IRIS would be useful.
Above all, you’ll be someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well and enjoys being part of a team.
