Luma Education Recruitment is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join a supportive independent school in the Southway area of Plymouth.
We welcome applications from Primary Teachers, Secondary Teachers, SEND Teachers and SEMH Teachers with QTS, particularly those who are passionate about working with young people and looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity.
Working with pupils aged 9–14, you will help create a calm, nurturing and positive learning environment, supporting pupils to build confidence, develop their skills and engage positively with education.
The Role
*Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons
*Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, anxiety and sensory needs
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
*Create a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
*Work closely with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture
*Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual pupils and learning styles
About You
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience within UK schools
*SEND and/or SEMH experience is highly desirable
*Passionate, caring and committed to supporting young people
*Positive, patient and nurturing approach
*Adaptable and confident working with different ages and abilities
*Looking for a long-term role with genuine permanent prospects
