Full job descriptionVenn Group is pleased to be assisting a reputable Local Authority which is seeking to appoint an experienced Locum Lawyer, specialising in civil and criminal litigation, to join its team.


This is a full time position for an initial duration of 6 months, to start within the coming weeks. It will involve handling a caseload of mixed civil and criminal litigation matters, including all advocacy. On-site attendance is required for court hearings, with remote working available the remainder of the time.


The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with recent local government experience. An hourly rate of up to £65 depending on experience is available. This position has been deemed to fall outside of IR35.
